Alyssa Corso Hosts Carissa Begonia for a Candid Conversation in Recognition of AAPI Heritage Month
As part of Calendly's efforts to recognize AAPI Heritage Month and support our AAPI Cal Pal community, our Belonging Group co-chairs, Linh Phan and Alyssa Corso, took the lead creating informative and engaging activities for our APPI belonging group members and all Cal Pals. Cal Pals learned about our AAPI team members throughout the month getting to know more about where they are from, their favorite dishes, traditions and families. As a belonging group, AAPI members came together for a Thai cooking class where they made an authentic Thai dish in honor and celebration of this month.
We closed out the month with a candid conversation centered around the AAPI Model Minority Myth, challenges the AAPI community experiences and the growing discrimination this community is facing due to geo political sentiments running through the government and public. Calendly's Alyssa Corso had the pleasure of again hosting Carissa Begonia who is a business, leadership, and life design coach and founder of CONSCIOUSXCHANGE. Her organization is an equity-focused coaching and consulting company with a mission to support the social, political, and economic advancement of racialized communities by helping BIPOC entrepreneurs build their own businesses and BIPOC professionals claim their seat at the table and lead from within organizations.
